During our 14 months living in Mexico, we had the pleasure of visiting Mexico City on three occasions. Each time, we stayed in a different part of the big, beautiful city, to get a different perspective and new experience. Mexico City (CDMX for short) is incredibly huge. The population of Mexico is 130 million, and 22 million live in Mexico City alone. It’s both deeply historic and super modern, with all the amenities one could ever want: great public transportation, walkable neighborhoods, diverse global cuisine, and a perfect mix of both upscale restaurants and bafflingly affordable food carts.
I’ve featured Mexico City in my photo blog before, with PaperShoot Camera photos, here, and here. I’ve also discussed Mexico City on our Benton Homestead blog (House-Sit #10: Mexico City Kitties). Please enjoy these 40 new photos from our visit in December 2022, where I tried to capture the mix of historic buildings, modern skyscrapers, small neighborhoods, busy intersections, construction and renovation, sidewalk vendors, walkable streets, all the while filled with trees and greenery. I present to you: Mexico City.
