Ian + Ally » Wedding » Derbès Mansion New Orleans
Ally and Ian’s wedding was one to remember. Together, they planned countless thoughtful details, to make their special day true to themselves, but they were also sure to incorporate friends and family from near and far.
I can’t speak highly enough of Ally and Ian, who simply emanate kindness. It was a breeze to work with them in planning and execution of their vision. Their love for each other is immediately apparent, and I suppose it’s this level of comfort in each other, that allowed the whole day to flow smoothly from one event to the next, with the Derbès Mansion providing the backdrop for their dreamy wedding atmosphere.
Please enjoy this small sample of their wedding gallery, which encompasses the day from getting ready in the morning, through the sparkler sendoff at the end of the night. Their full gallery actually contained 800 images, which is more than my average wedding delivery, because there were so many little moments to capture. Of course, I don’t share many of the private moments or guest portraits in my photo blog, but I did include a few fun extras.
As a side note, thank you to Julie Verlinden, for being such a talented and efficient photographer. I can’t count how many times we worked together professionally during my time in New Orleans. In fact, she was my first friend in New Orleans, and I hired her to be my own wedding photographer. Approximately ten of the photos in this blog are hers, and they are essential to telling this wedding story. Thank you for your friendship and your creative outlook!
Ally and Ian were kind enough to leave me this review: “We hired Dani and a second shooter for our wedding in October, and she did an absolutely fantastic job. Not only was she extremely communicative, easy to work with, and showed up early, she produced photos that we will truly cherish forever. She easily directed two people that are not very good at taking photos and knew exactly the right spots for the pictures. She delivered a huge gallery and we had so many compliments from family and friends on how she captured little special moments. They also managed to get a picture of almost everyone at the wedding! I would highly recommend Dani for a future shoot.”
