Sam + Layken » Engagement » New Orleans French Quarter & Audubon Park
When Sam and Layken contacted me for an engagement session, they chose to book for a full 3-hours. This gave us ample time to thoroughly explore the French Quarter, stop by Jackson Square, order some coffee and beignets from Cafe Beignet, then head Uptown for Audubon Park. A full New Orleans experience!
These two were really adorable and adventurous; as we made small talk and strolled through the French Quarter, they never turned down a location suggestion. This shows through in the final gallery of images, with the wide variety of colorful homes and backdrops. However I think the real merit badge for this session goes to Sam, for being so willing to play along with Layken at Cafe Beignet. I’m not going to spoil it for you… you’ll just have to look for yourself! He was a real trooper, and fortunately, we already had an outfit change planned before heading to our next location.
I have to say that 3-hour sessions are a perfect length of time for couples or engagements. Of course, I’ve always offered a 30-minute and a 1.5-hour session as well, and can always capture a well-rounded gallery within those timeframes. But 3-hours really lets us settle in to the session together, and never feel rushed, even when your locations are spread across the city.
